The Nobel Prize winner Dmitry Muratov is expected at VI YIEF

The Nobel Peace Prize winner Dmitry Muratov is invited to the VIth Yalta International Economic Forum to participate as a speaker or as a moderator. The forum will be held on November 4-6, 2021, at Mriya Resort & SPA hotel in Yalta.

Dmitry Muratov, the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on October 8 for "the efforts to protect freedom of expression, a prelude of democracy and solid peace." The organizers of YIEF think that participation of independent media, represented by Dmitry Muratov, is mandatory to achieve open communication on the forum agenda. One of the goals of YIEF is to show that Crimea is open to the world and ready for dialogue and cooperation.

"It is very important for us to express various points of view within the forum framework. And, of course, it will be an honor for us if a recent Nobel Prize winner takes part in the forum. We congratulate the editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta Dmitry Muratov and invite him to take part in the forum as a speaker or as a moderator of one of the sessions," said Nail Gabbasov, president of the YIEF Foundation.

The forum tag line in 2021 is World. Russia. Crimea. The day after tomorrow. The forum programme includes more than 50 business events in the following areas: Advanced Infrastructural Policy of Russia, Regional Investment Strategy, Areas of Focus in the Development of Crimea, Promotion of Russian Crimea in the International Market, Technologies and Digitalization - Tools of Success. Issues related specifically to media will be discussed at the forum inter alia.

The international event will be held in strict compliance with the current epidemiological response measures. That is why the number of guests in 2021 is limited to 2.5 thousand people. The broadcast will be available for everyone on the official forum web-site.
