Marat Khusnullin: Crimea and Bashkortostan Tied by Friendship
Andrey Nazarov, Co-Chairperson of the YIEF Organizing Committee and Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Bashkortostan, read out a greeting from Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
In his address Marat Khusnullin noted that the forum has proven to be an effective platform for communication and discussions.
- In 2015, about 600 people came to the first event. Today there are already several thousand guests, representatives of 90 countries. The range of issues has expanded to the discussion of global problems of geopolitical world order, - said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation also drew attention to the close connection between Crimea and the Republic of Bashkortostan, noting that the region traditionally acts as a co-organizer of the Yalta International Economic Forum.
- I expect that, as before, the forum will be useful and effective for the whole country, - Marat Khusnullin added.
In addition, he noted that the current forum is held at the Ufa Palace of Wrestling. It was commissioned this year. The speaker expressed confidence that the forum participants would enjoy this modern venue.

The Yalta International Economic Forum is an international business event in the field of economy. It's been held since 2015 in Crimea. The YIEF is the fourth biggest economic forum in Russia. The first forum was held nine years ago and attended by over 600 people from 13 countries such as Russia, Italy, Slovenia, Türkiye, Hong Kong, Japan, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Greece, Kazakhstan, Israel, India and Serbia. The Forum received off-line participants from 35 countries. The total number of participating states will exceed 90. The online forum is attended by representatives of 81 countries, including the states of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Yalta International Economic Forum is held within the framework of the International Business Week 2024. The event is recognized by Maria Zakharova, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, as a top-5 largest forums in Russia. This event strengthens the role of the region as a venue of business communication and cooperation. The Republic of Bashkortostan proves to be an expert ground for a meaningful dialog between the authorities and business community and strengthens its presence on the map of international business activity.
