Craftsmen at YIEF: Bukhara furs, gold sewing and filigree technique
Representatives of Crimea, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Russian regions at the Yalta International Economic Forum discussed support measures that allow handicrafts to develop and become brands of their regions. The topical conversation took place within the framework of the session Global Legacy of Folk Artistic Crafts. Role in Preserving and Developing Cultures
Zuhra Khamroeva, Member of the Hunarmand Craftsmen Association, Founder of Salay Zuhra Furs, from Uzbekistan, told her colleagues that she has been producing fur products since she was 14 years old. She continues the family dynasty and her first place of work was her father's factory.

- Uzbekistan has a very clear system of assistance to artisans. For example, this activity is not taxed, and we can expand production in any volume, - Zuhra Khamroeva shared her experience.

Another measure of support from the state, the speaker called the provision of sites for development.

- Centers are being built in each district where craftsmen can buy premises at the cost price of building materials. Participation in exhibitions, including international ones, is paid for by the Association, which is a structural subdivision of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, - Khamroeva said.

Products made of Bukhara fur of brand Salay Zuhra Furs are already known to the residents of Bashkortostan. Craftsmen from Uzbekistan are regular participants of exhibitions and fairs in Bashkortostan.

Tatiana Rozhkova, the Head of the National Artistic Trades My Business Center of the Republic of Crimea, told about the revival of support for folk arts and crafts of the peninsula after its return to Russia.

- We are actively working within the framework of the national project "Small and medium businesses and support of the individual businesses initiative". One of the most demanded measures is participation in large federal exhibition and fair events, - said Tatiana Rozhkova.

The guest from Crimea told in detail about free training programs on the basis of the Center for folk arts and crafts and handicraft activities. In particular, here you can learn the jewelry technique Filigree, gold sewing. Some of these techniques are included in the register of intangible ethno-cultural heritage of the Republic of Crimea.

The session was attended by representatives of the Coordination Council of the Friends of Crimea International Association from Greece and Turkey. The experience of participation in international projects of the Agidel Bashkir Arts and Crafts State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Bashkortostan was presented.

Yalta International Economic Forum is held within the framework of the International Business Week 2024. The event is recognized by Maria Zakharova, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, as a top-5 largest forums in Russia. This event strengthens the role of the region as a venue of business communication and cooperation. The Republic of Bashkortostan proves to be an expert ground for a meaningful dialog and cooperation, strengthening its position on the map of international business activity.
