Timothy Kirby: YIEF Plays Colossal Role in Crimea Economic Stability

The VI Yalta International Economic Forum is being held in Ufa as part of the International Business Week. The key event of the day was the Plenary Session: I-We-Multipolar World. New Economic Realities. The session was moderated by Timothy Kirby, a journalist, radio host, author of Чужой Show at Mayak Radio Station.

At the beginning of his speech, Kirby noted that the Yalta International Economic Forum occupies a significant place on the world's business agenda.

- The forum has always discussed the current global and Russian agenda, current challenges the domestic economy faces. YIEF is one of the five largest forums in Russia. Despite border restrictions, it gathered friends from more than 120 countries. The Yalta International Economic Forum plays a tremendous role in the economic stability of the Crimean peninsula, - said Timothy Kirby.

He also mentioned the sister territories that took a long way to return where they belong. These are Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions

Today YIEF is hosted by the capital of Bashkortostan. Kirby believes, the republic has been and remains a reliable friend and support for Crimea and the new territories throughout the years.

The event is recognized by Maria Zakharova, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, as a top-5 largest forums in Russia. This event strengthens the role of the region as a venue of business communication and cooperation.
