Constructed for the 450th anniversary of the capital city of Bashkortostan, the Wrestling Palace is recognized as one of the largest sports facilities both in Russia and in the world. Its extraordinary architectural solutions put it on another level compared to regular stadiums and traditional sports complexes. It is so much more than just a sports facility - it is literally a palace with unique grandeur and aesthetics.
The Wrestling Palace’s cutting-edge infrastructure and capacity allow holding events of the highest level.
The five-storey complex with a total area of 28,000 sq. m is capable of hosting a various sports competitions and cultural events. It features a multipurpose 32x62 m sports and concert hall with an 3,500-seat amphitheater. The facility includes a large training hall for martial arts, a medical center for rehabilitation of athletes, and two gyms and two halls for general physical training. For swimmers, there is a 25 m swimming pool with 7 lanes. Such an innovative sports center was the dream of Radiy Khabirov, the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It was built for all athletes, including ordinary boys and girls who are eager to do sports with comfort.
According to international experts, the YIEF symbolizes the evenly developing world, and the selected location makes one appreciate the rich culture and sports traditions that Russia shares with the friendly countries. However, the guests of the forum have much more common ground, so they have high hopes for the event. For example, Mahmoud Liaei, Iran's Deputy Minister of Industry and head of the Center for Information and Communication Technologies, expects the forum to provide opportunities for participants to introduce their achievements at the international level.
"Given my extensive duties in the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, where I hold the positions of Director General, Advisor to the Minister and Deputy Minister, I am in charge of key experts at the ministries who can start the communication between the relevant authorities of the participating countries as well as between the companies in these countries. I will be focusing on presenting opportunities for Iranian companies, both private and public, and facilitating contacts between Iranian entities and companies based in countries. This cooperation is aimed at the successful implementation of significant national projects", Mahmoud Liaei said.
It is worth noting that the friendly countries are not the ones that are represented at the YIEF: European politicians will be there as well, even given the current geopolitical situation. Ulrich Singer, Member of the Landtag of Bavaria (Federal Republic of Germany), said that we have hardly any political and economic cooperation bridges between the EU and Russia left, so now we have to start building new ones based on the current circumstances.
"As you know, I visited Russia in March this year to be an independent expert during the presidential elections in the Russian Federation. In Sochi on November 2024, I participated in the International Symposium speaking about the role of the state, science and society in the Development Of Social And Economic Cooperation between BRICS+ and European countries and organizations. Therefore, now I am going to participate in the YIEF in Ufa as to establish permanent close partnership, equal and mutually beneficial relations between our countries.
